Where elegance meets rebellion. Discover the classes that are redefining Rotterdam.
For too long, the burlesque scene in Rotterdam has been a whisper—or worse, non-existent. While other cities boast stages full of glamour and satire, our bold, industrial city has been waiting for its own spark.
RotterFemme is here to fill that void.
We aren't just teaching dance; we are building a community from the ground up. By joining these classes, you are not just a student—you are a pioneer of the new Rotterdam Burlesque movement. Be the first to bring the tease to the Maas.

Your fundamental introduction. No experience? Perfect. We focus on posture, the 'Burlesque walk', and the psychological art of taking up space with unapologetic confidence.
The art of the reveal. Learn to manipulate gloves, stockings, and layers with grace. It’s not about what you take off, but how you tell the story while doing it.
Athletic meets aesthetic. A high-energy fusion of floorwork and choreography using a chair as your partner. Great for building core strength and fluidity.
From 'Feather Fan' basics to 'Glove Peeling' marathons. These one-off intensive sessions dive deep into specific burlesque props and performance archetypes.
Not at all, and honestly — perfect. Burlesque has nothing to do with technical dance training. It is about presence, intention, and the quiet power of walking into a room and owning it. We start from zero together, and that is exactly how Miss The Tease designed it.
No — and we want you to feel completely safe knowing that. The art of burlesque lives in suggestion, not exposure. Classes focus on movement, storytelling, and building your own stage presence, fully clothed. Whatever you choose to explore beyond that, in your own time, is entirely up to you.
Whatever makes you feel like yourself. A comfortable legging, a vintage dress, or something with a little sparkle — all of it is welcome. Heels are fun but never required. The only real guideline is: wear something you can move in and feel good in. The rest, we work with.
Classes are open to all women 18 and over — every shape, every age, every background. Burlesque has always belonged to women who refused to disappear quietly. There is no expiry date on that. If anything, the women who come later in life often bring the most fire.
The Summer 2026 cycle takes place at Studio Grounded, Hillevliet 90, on 25 June from 16:00 to 17:45, then on 3 July, 17 July, and 24 July from 19:00 to 21:00. Autumn 2026 runs in Rotterdam on 3 September, 17 September, 1 October, and 15 October, from 19:30 to 21:30; the exact venue is confirmed with registered participants.
A single 1h50 class is EUR 30 for non-members and EUR 25 for members. The main offer is the full 4-class member cycle at EUR 95. Annual membership is EUR 35 and gives reduced prices, priority booking and access to member-only moments.
Then this space was made with you in mind. Burlesque was never about already feeling perfect — it was built for women who are ready to stop waiting for that feeling and start creating it. The confidence you are looking for is not something you bring to class. It is something you discover there, together, in a room full of women who feel exactly the same way.
